The two companies will discuss ways to further strengthen their relationship, including joint sales and marketing campaigns through targeted channels and vertical markets. IBM sees Calavista as a catalyst in expanding their market share in the Linux-based server market by leveraging Calavista’s devEDGE success in Open Source based application development environments. Rick Allen, Calavista’s CEO, is excited about the company’s partnering and sales prospects with IBM, and is looking forward to participating with key IBM executives at the conference. Calavista and IBM strengthen partnership with devEDGE port to IBM OpenPower server line. Calavista successfully ported their new new change management software, devEDGE, to several IBM server platforms, including OpenPower, the iSeries and pSeries of servers. Rick Allen, Calavista CEO, is optimistic about Calavista’s expanding, synergistic relationship with IBM: “The IBM relationship is a natural fit for Calavista, and aligns well with Calavista’s initiatives, including support for Open Source platforms, and Business-Driven/On-Demand Business processes that directly impact the customer’s bottom line.” Calavista founder Lawrence Waugh presents at IEEE, July 29, 2005 in Austin, Texas. Calavista co-founder Lawrence Waugh presents a white paper entitled “Who Moved My Team? – Managing Virtual and Distributed Development Groups in an Outsourced World,” where he explores the concept of management from a distance, and the need for having the right framework in place to ensure success. |
