QA Expressway™

With our QA Expressway™ service, Calavista offers a development organization the opportunity to augment or even build up their QA group from scratch while dramatically lowering its costs, and without the risks normally associated with outsourcing and offshore.
Calavista provides an offshore team of full-time testers, including permanent and floating testers and a project manager, located offshore. A typical team consists of 1 half time project manager, 2 full time test engineers, and one "floating" test engineer rotated every 2 to 3 weeks.
Floating engineers allow us to generate a pool of testers experienced with your product, allowing us to literally double or triple your team size overnight - with testers already trained on your product, not just bodies.
The team tests the product five nights per week - customizable reports provide results each morning via a customer-accessible website maintained by Calavista. For example, you could see which modules were tested, the time spent on each module, new features verified, defects found (by severity), mean time to find defects, and overall module status.
Onshore Service
Calavista provides a part time US-based project manager to coordinate the testing team with the development group.
The Calavista project manager works with you at your site about one-half day per week, attending triage and development meetings, working on test plans, and generally ensuring the team's deliverables reflect the customer's needs.
The Calavista project manager gives the QA Expressway team tasking each night, works as necessary with the team throughout the night, and receives any deliverables in the morning.
You get to operate virtually hands-off, rather than having to work directly with offshore teams.

Phase 1

Phase 2

Phase 3
